Doggy style: Popular party night for gay Detroiters and their friends smash hit at Park Bar

Park Bar
Tuesdays 8:30 p.m.

The slightly naughty, sophisticated but non-elitist Tuesday night series known as Doggy Style is back after a summer and early fall hiatus. This regular, casual social happening at downtown's Park Bar is where gay folks with a downtown sensibility meet up for music and videos that includes new and old, drag queen and camp. Or whatever else the selectors find suitably, universally gay.

Park Bar is at 2040 Park Avenue, a block behind the Fillmore (formerly State) Theater, on the corner of Elizabeth St.

It starts at 8:30ish, videos start at 9:30, home in bed by 11:30, not bad for a school night. For more info see our friend Supergaydetroit.

Doggy Style comes at you every Tuesday until May.
