Big Pickle Production: Actor Jeff Daniel's assembles live band for Purble Rose Theatre fundraiser

Nov. 29 8 p.m.

Michigan's favorite thespian, Jeff Daniels, has been writing songs and playing guitar for 30 years. But he’s keeps his music to himself for most of that time. That is until he gets on stage every year to perform a special concert in November celebrating Michigan music and homegrown musicians.

“The Third Annual Jeff Daniels & Friends” lineup will include Mr. B, Steppin' In It, The Ragbirds, BASIC and Ben Daniels Trio (Jeff's son). His concerts and his first two CDs “Jeff Daniels Live and Unplugged” and “Grandfather’s Hat,” have created a new appreciation for the artist in his home state, while raising funds for his Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea.

The event, put on by Daniels' Big Pickle Productions, is Nov. 29 at the Michigan Theater (603 E. Liberty, Ann Arbor). For tickets, go here.
